Doesn´t matter too much.
Dealer I bought from doesn´t even have servicing.

Buy where you get the best deal.

if your local dlr is a goody, by all means buy from them, and take it back to service

If, however, your local dlr isn't so good, it can be well worth a bit of extra distance to one who is

Any dlr worth their salr will not care where you bought it

personally whilst my local dlr in Cardiff is certainly ok, I now drive an extra 20 miles or so to Bridgend, where I have been treated very well

where (roughly) are you N2H?

My nearest dealer is probably Retford. I'll just give them a try I guess.

It'd be a good addition to this website, a list of Dealers that we could rate...

It is in the Wiki...
http://www.civinfo.com/wiki/index.ph...rship_feedback

Not a list of all dealer (that you can find on the Honda website) but a section for rating dealers. Quite few on there.

Thanks FWH, that's great!

This website is excellent, is there a donations / membership section? I want to contribute to running costs.

Sort of.

N2H I think if I were you and you want to get out of the deal, I would focus on the fact they are overcharging you for the sensors. I would go down the road of "losing confidence" in the dealership based on them mis-leading you on the price of the sensors.
If you're vocal enough in the showroom I'm sure they'll cancel the deal. Don't even think about them being mad, you are the one who should be mad.

I don't know if this helps you but if this is Retford in Notts, I think you will find that Lincoln, Grantham and Boston Honda are all the same company.

The sensor price you have been quoted is a rip off.
Mine were £230 fitted and colour coded
As for the deposit. They are always non-refundable. I'd accept the car and reject the sensors. They can always fit them to someone elses car!!

(Edit)On the honda website they are £425. Just checked we paid £553.19 for the sensors, car mats, boot tray and mudflaps

Today at around 8.30am I called Honda customer service and explained the situation to a guy there. He said it was unlikely that they would give any refund, as legally they don't have to. However he did give an indication that they should not be setting prices above the Honda nationwide price and said he would contact them and call me back, which has not happened today but hopefully will tomorrow.

I've also spotted I got charged £3 more for the mats than I should have at £63.

It's not really the money that's the problem, as much as being made to believe by the salesman that he was doing the parking sensors at trade price, not a public price. Then I find out pricing for the public should be even lower. Anyway...

Does anyone think that if I cancel the part exchange part of the deal (presuming I can do this?) and just pay them cash, whether I will be able to bargain down the price closer to the price Holdcroft are doing their sports at? Which is £500 cheaper, even though the mileage is a few thousand less for Holdcroft.

Maybe, but perhaps you could get £500 more selling private, than they have offered you for the part-ex. Two possible ways to get the same result.
