DjMIKKI, I am looking to get a 1.8 Sport (also in Sweden). How much did you pay? Did you take any options? The price I got from the first dealer I asked was list price, and he put on quite a bit for the options.

Hi,

I got about 8% off car + winter wheels + options.
An EX with a few extras, but still.

I tried a couple of different dealers, I suggest you do the same.

Where abouts are you?

In between Uppsala and Stockholm. So I think there are some 4 dealers within an hours ride by car in either direction. Anyone you would recommend?

Looking at the prices on the options I would assume that there are some margins to take from even though the margins on the actual car usually is lower. So I guess I should try to get as many options for free as possible

Several of us have experienced very poor service from Honda City in Upplands Väsby. At least two of us have walked away and bought cars somewhere else.

I bought mine from LDS Bilar in Vällingby.
I am quite happy with them, despite some problems we had.

Two dealers which many people tend to rate highly are Rosenholtz (south of Stockholm however) or RA Motor in Uppsala, but I have no personal experience.

My tip is to "shop around" until you get the best deal.

I would be sitting on the dock like Otis Redding, with a pair of binoculars waiting, good luck with the new car.

I have the car now like 1 month and I am HAPPY with it... I didnt took something extra from the dealer. I waited a month on that car and the dealer sayed always: MAYBE NEXT WEEK IF WE ARE LUCKY... I was mad and he gave another car to use that time. Finely when i get the car, he gave me the originally civic mats 4 pieces for front and 4 for back and the trunk mat. 1 set is for summer and the second for winter times. The price on the car was: 184 900 Swedish krouns and he gave me 10 000 krouns cheaper becouse i didnt hade any car for exchange, i had but i sold it private and get 15 000
krouns more the the offer from dealer. TOTAL 174 900 krouns. After a week i saw a skratch on the glas on the clock ( a big one ) and i didnt bothered to go to the dealer or i didnt had the time for it and a week later my winter tires that i bought on the webb was punctured. I had them for about 4 days on the car when 4 guys punctured tires on 60 cars and totaly 140 tires and on my car they decided to take both on the right side. The insurance payed almoust all but i had to pay 2 000 krouns. The guys were caught on the same day.It took me a half hour to check the paint on the car for damages but there was nothing, lucky??? or not??? and guys in sweden; dont buy the winter tires from the dealer, i bought the same tires that the dealer wanted to sale much much cheaper.

1 euro - 9,3 Swedish krouns.

See the car is popular..... I AM STILL HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you are still happy!
Also glad they actually caught those guys..

Yes, many people find that buying the winter wheels seperatly, for example on-line, can save some money.
Well worth comparing, I agree!

But in the end it all depends on your negociation with the dealer.

Yea, well - I mean that I AM in a hurry, but I will do my very best to get the best price I can get

I think I'll only throw in the "And I want winter tyres too" if I feel that the seller isn't giving me enough added value. I could probably throw in something else like... "Sport me the concert pack and it's a done deal"
