New Civic 2.0i Type R GT - £17,600
amazing price
but caveat - Dealer IS reliable from my research: before buying my Civic i almost bought an EOS from them. Decided not to since car was Imported from Malta...therefore check carefully. Motor Provider, Car Supermarket for Cheap New Cars - New Cars, Used Cars, Vans, Buy a Car at Motor Provider for a Cheap Car Price when compared with autobytel (normally cheaper guide price) New Honda Civic Prices - Buy Honda Civic at Autobytel UK Saving is £1000+ Hmmm.... It's only about £60 more from Carfile - these prices are too tempting to miss out on! which is UK dealer sourced.

I enquired as I was after 1st March reg, and was told that's fine. Also allow for add ons, so decals, etc can be added to the spec at normal prices. The guy who runs the company was a Honda dealer for 12 years.

coolio - the one thing about carfile is the options ie sat nav seem to be at full factory cost, not discounted. On Autoebid, you do get the chance that when a dealer bids for your sale, you can talk to them and negotiate further discounts on extras. BUT with autoebid its an upfront fee, whereas from what i can see, carfile is free. Maybe with carfile, you can also contact dealers and negotiate prices of addons? If so, then carfile would be my choice over autoebid.

so with autoebid, say i want a certain spec, i give a target price, and have to pay. if no-one meets that target price, im out of pocket? Is that right? I had a look on their sight and am a bit bamboozled. Also a bit concerned about what effect Clarksons comments will have on residuals now

coolio with autoebid, you pre authorise a payment of say £100 on a £15k car and name a price and spec youre prepared to pay for it, say £13.5k. If a dealer bids for your sale then you pay 13.5k to dealer and say £100 fee to autoebid.
The figures can change depending on how much is saved and so can the fee, but thats the idea. If noone bids for your sale, you dont pay anything. The good thing is when dealers bid, you can negotiate with them on extras by email, this way get your £100 back plus a bit more if youre lucky. Id still take carfile if you get dealer contact on that, without the fee involved, but with autoebid, you might get lucky and get 4 dealers bidding for your sale, and each time they bid, your pice goes down. Youre free to negotiate with anyone who bids, not just the last one, and pick the best deal. |

Coolio , DTD has been known to source cars from Cyprus & Malta but the majority are uk spec cars so I would'nt worry too much

I suppose its still classed as a kind of import and the paper work wont be in English, and when you come to sell the car people will demand a cheaper price. So, you dont really gain anything from this kind of deal! |

Any imported car will not retain its value as a uk registered car and it will always show on the v5 and any hpi check as being an import, so save £1000 on purchase price and lose maybe £3000 on resale price. |
