Delivery time Delivery Date

Friends,

I wonder if you could help me. I ordered my Car in August this year and was told that it would be delivered in December this year, and at the time we were told that we could get a delivery date in the middle of November. My wife rang the other day to check on the delivery date and was told they didn't know.

I know that I am in Poland but should I be able to get a delivery date from the dealer for the car? WHat do you think?

I sympathise with you Happyman. The anticipation must be unbearable now.
This probably doesn't help but my dealer let me know an approximate delivery date 2 weeks ago and I'm collecting on Thurs

. I would call your dealer again and ask them to find out for you. They must get some kind of delivery schedules especially when cars are being imported.

Thanks Guys,

The problem is that I live in Poland and customer service is at best 18th century and at worst pre-historic. Thankfully we have a dealer is just about getting to the end of the 18th Century

. Although, getting good information is still a challenge, even when my wife who is polish calls them.

They told us when we ordered it that it would be built in the first week of December and then we should get it before christmas. I would like a date due to the fact that it is so close and every day I am seeing more and more Civics here on the road and I am jealous

. Also we have to sort out the finance and insurance etc, etc , etc.

Although the dealer said December I am expecting some time in January!

I think you are right R-2 it is the best colour. I was sitting next to a Type S in Milano Red today and it just isn't my cup of tea!

Happyman, I had a confirmed date two weeks beforehand too, but I guess it must work differently in Poland.

But its a closely guarded secret that black ones are definitely faster (oops b****r given it away now)

I don't know but I think we will contact them again soon and check on the date, maybe next week as it is the beginning of December.

Thanks Happyman. To say the days are going by slowly would be an understatement!

It will come and although I am not sure I will bring them into the 21st century I will definately be trying over the next few weeks. If not, the owner of the dealership will become my best friend - even if he doesn't want to be - He speaks english!!!!!

As the boss speaks English, you might manage to drag him into something in between the 19th. and the 21st. century then....

Whilst I know it maybe strange that I am relaxed about the dealer's attitude, it is because I went to the best one in my city. There are two and the one I am using is the best. Friends recommended it to us. In terms of customer service they are great and they are really trying to be good, but it's not as good as the UK and I accept that but I just want my car!

IN the last 2 days alone I have seen 5 civics - all of a sudden they seems to be everywhere

The service you are receiving in Poland does seem quite harsh compared to the fact that I ordered my Honda Civic at the end of March and picked it up about three weeks later just in time for the easter break here in the UK.

Part of the delay is to fit in with us and isn't a problem, and when I ordered I knew that I would have a long wait for the car. I would just like to know when it is coming, I don't want to be told that it will be next week etc, or fobbed of with unrealistic dates,I would just like a reasonable date of delivery.

I will have to persuade my wife to call them again next week and see if they now anything yet!

Just had a phonecall and it should be here in a week!!!!

We have to go to the dealer today as I have to choose some accessories that will be given to me free of charge!

Will write more later when I find out what is what from the dealer.
