Honda tend to change the Civic's accord's CR-V's etc every 5 years
with a face lift generally in the 3rd year of production so as I-noel said
2008/2009 rather than now

If this follows normal Honda model change schedule then expect a "minor model change", or in English a few tweaks but nothing to write home about!
Should start seeing these 08 models around September/October time as this is the normal time for these updated models to arrive.

they are bringing out a refined i-Ctdi engine on the 08 model. Not quite sure when. Been told it's quiter then the current i-ctdi engine, mainly quiter chain noise and turbo whistle.

It's quieter, more economical, also heard a rumour that its going to have slightly more power too

2008 civic changes

Hi all
these are the changes for the 2008 civic
all EX models will gain painted rear parking sensors as standard. with a slight increase in price.
vivid blue metallic is deleted from 5 door and type S models.

Tangerine Orange will be added as a new colour on 5 door and type S this colour is what was seen on the concept civic.
the 2008 range will be built from October.

not to much change but interesting colour choice with the orange

So seeing as I have ordered mine with parking sensors, basically I have an ´08! Shame about the Vivid Blue though! I liked that.

Could you tell us if this information is also for continental delivery ?

It's a shame that they delete the Vivid blue...
Is the Royal blue Pearl still available ? (I never see one for real ?)

Are these the only changes? No fixes to the minor niggles in the current design? Or has Honda fixed these stealthily hoping noone remembers the problems ever existed?

(I speak of the fog lights cracking, hands free issues, sat nav POIs etc. etc.)

Also, any idea how much of a slight increase of price we are speaking of? I ask because I was considering waiting on the 08 models to buy a Civ but if so little is changed I might as well splash out sooner.
