That is cheap!

Happened to ask LV if there was a charge for changing the front grille (before the last few days happened!) and was quoted £29

Seems that LV have gone to their underwriters and it 'appears' that they are prepared to accept that the brakes are 'like for like' and thus doesn't count as a mod on my car but haven't had confirmation that this is the case on yours yet (even though they are the same) - will know for sure by end of play tomorrow, as been promised confirmation by then.

No worries mate. Im on nights this week so try and get on here and check when i can
Tomorrow works well with me. I cant imagine them refusing to insure it as it has identical breaks to yours like you mention and only has lowering springs now.

Thanks to the others for your input on insuranc!
I was with admiral last year and with all mods declared it cost £50 extra a year. Shame they were not competitive upon renewal though.

Good news,

LV have accepted that the brakes are 'like for like' on the Type R.

As the insurance is now sorted, I'll progress the financial side tomorrow, as been holding off until the insurance issue resolved.

I'll get back to you tomorrow when things are a little clearer as I missed the bank today.

By the way, with regard to the Martelius exhaust, will it fit in a civic or will I need to arrange a courier for it?

Nat,

Sorry for the delay in responding but nobody got back to me regarding the financial side.

Anyway, all sorted now. Documents will be couriered to me on Tue morning for signature and it will take 3-5 working days from then (Tue) for it to hit my bank.

How do you want to proceed with regards to clearing finance etc.

Steve

Nat,

Yes, I'll offer the full asking price, especially due to the delay on my part, subject to :-

The method of clearing of finance is acceptable to both
Brakes disks / pads & tyres have reasonable life left
The ICE and exhaust is included

Steve

Move to PM
