Automated Folding Wing Mirror Modules

Hi....thanks for your interest. The manual fold button keeps the mirrors folded when the car is unlocked. This is useful for me as I park in a multi-storey very close to pillars. I tend to manually fold at this point then the mirrors stay in when I lock the car then unlock.

In simple terms the manual button over-rides the unit.

The unit is easy to fit by following the instructions to the letter which I have made to be simple to follow. The only trim to come off is the door card which simply pulls off. All connections for your wires I will supply it's then up to you whether to use these or if you are quite technical you could solder the wires although there is no real need to do this.

As long as you have folding mirrors and it is an 06> this unit is compatible with your car.

Mr Bozo received mines today thanks
And they even come with the connectors and spade clips on contary to your instructions, makes it even easier to install.
Im going to wait for the rain to stop during the daylight hours before i try it.
Especially removing the clips for the door locks away from the connectors without making a hash of it and the door not locking...

Which ones the earth terminal on the battery the black lead? and do i lose the time / sat nav settings /car settings if the battery is disconnected for a long time

Hi.... yes black lead on battery. All settings on on nav etc come back as normal. I disconnect all the time when testing the units so have no probs.

I've not had a chance to fit mines yet , but what happens in the following scenario with the wing mirrors
Park up
Remove Key - Open door - Close door shut
Press Unlock key on key fobs
(This gives you a few seconds to re-open the door if it doesnt open it automatically locks)

Do the wing mirrors automatically fold in when the doors automatically lock

Im only asking this as there is a mod by STEF in here for Homing Lights, Pressing Unlock twice after the shutting the door behind gives you a few seconds to walk up to your house door with the either the sidelights/foglights lit up and then the doors automatically lock

Hi....yes you are correct. The central locking takes control of the circuit and will fold the mirrors. The car locking automatically is the same. The only time this won't happen is if you engage the manual switch as this switch over-rides the circuit. The switch is useful when parking in a tight space so you may want to leave the switch activated when pulling away from tight space.
