This will ensure the mirrors stay folded when the car is unlocked allowing people to de-ice the mirrors. When the mirrors are in this position there is less surface area on the mirror base to ice up....some tepid water would do the trick.

Quite a good point MrBozo.... If you happen to forget to switch, it just defeats the whole object. Although being a little more of the nervous type I opted to permanantly de-activate the circuit through the deep winter period i.e. December & January.

Still, as you say, it's certainly worth having the option of including one in the package should anyone feel the same way as me and a few others ... very simple to fit too!

I just want to say it took me 60mins to do this job.

I did however buy 2 extra electrical connectors for the diode to the wires as im not brilliant at soldering. and its one of the easiest jobs you can do

Took me a little over an hour to install. The instructions were easy to understand and follow.

Hi...unfortunately the unit isn't designed to do this but I can see where you are coming from and it may be something I can look into in the future. I had this feature on my previous car(Mondeo ST220) but to be honest I never used it.
