Alright James, just this minute fitted the lights with help from my girlfriends dad, and they look great! Definately worth the money
A few pointers (2.2 i-CTDI) The coolant bottle - just pull out the overflow pipe off the top and pull the whole bottle up and to the centre of the bay, no need to take both pipes out as its easier to pull out a small tube as the other 2 are clipped. The 2 wires in the kit are Black and Blue (different from the 'How-to' colours) so Black goes to Brown and Blue goes to Yellow Dan |

Hi, sorry for sounding like a total noob, but I've been toying with the idea of an HID conversion for a while now and I'm looking for a little more info on the ones you sell.
I'm guessing the 55W Kit is brighter than the 35W Kit, but are they a lot brighter? And what is the difference between 6000K and 8000K? I have covered my headlights with Lamin-x Subtle Tint and at the mo I have your 6500K H7, 6500K H1 and 25 LED sidelight bulbs. Love the blue look of these bulbs, but vision at night ain't the best so I really need something a bit brighter, but don't wanna be too bright and attract the fuzz, or end up gettin flashed at all the time by dazzled motorists, lol. Any advice would be much appreciated, as I'm definitely in the market for whichever kit u recommend. Cheers! |

Well Lola,
the 55W are brighter than the 35W, however this is not dazzling due to the bulbs being H7R which prevent this, with your tints you refer to you will be filtering even more of the visable light so the 55W kit would definately be my recommendation. You are able to still use your headlight adjuster (0-5) on your dash to lower the light plane further if needs be. The difference between 6000K and 8000K is colour temperature, the 6000K will be a pure crisp white with hint of blue and the 8000K more blue. To give you an idea there are Photo's of 6000K and 8000K bulbs in my album within my profile, complete with anotation. - http://www.civinfo.com/forum/members/mr+jp-albums-bulbs+you+can+buy++mr+jp!.html In summary, the kit I would recommend for both light on the tarmac and style would be the 6000K 55W kit, it is the one I will be having fitted to my own car after seeing them all. When you have your lights on (in the dark) they won't see your bumper or lack of washers anyway, let alone question why a modern hot hatch has HID's. You still have use of the manual adjuster, which is on your dash and ranges from 0-5 I believe, however I have yet to hear of any issues with dazzling or anything negative. |

No probs mate, as for the quality, I was using a Samsung Galaxy phone so its not the best and the lights dont dazzle as much as it looks like in the pictures

Thanks JP, you're help has been invaluable. After careful consideration and much umm-ing and ahh-ing over your pictures, I think I'm gonna go for the 55W 6000K Kit. I do like the look of the blueish lights on my vivid blue, but I'm worried the 8000K might be too blue as my tint does seem to make the 25 LED sidelights look a lot bluer than other pics I've seen on here. Same payment details as last time? Lola |
