For Sale:

New! Control Box for Reversing Camera/DVD/ipod etc.

The box plugs into the back of the Honda OEM Navigation System and allows a reversing camera and/or composite video source to be shown on the car's navigation screen.

This a new updated box, same functionality as before. It allows you to do the following:

• Switch on Reversing Camera when driving forward.
• Watch video source (iPad, iPhone, Car PC, DVD Player etc,) on Navigation Screen whilst driving forward or stationary.
• Switch automatically from video source to reversing camera when reversing.
• The unit can also be connected to AV Selector to allow connection of multiple devices i.e iPod, Car PC or DVD Player.
• Built in 6db attenuation to improve video image detail (some sources can be a bit bright without)

For connecting and controlling devices which have a composite video output such as:

• Aftermarket Reversing Camera (Such as MrBozo's here: For Sale ... Reverse Cameras)
• DVD Player or HDD Media Player
• iPod/iPad/iPhone
• Car PC
• Nokia or Android Phone with video out
• In Car DVB-T Digital TV Tuner
• Front facing camera
• Almost anything with a Composite Video Out

These work on all Honda's with a factory fitted Navigation System (Civic, CR-V, FR-V, Accord, Insight, Jazz and CR-Z).

The diagram below shows the basic principal and typical setup....



You will need to buy your own switch(s) from Maplin et.c as style and location will depend on your personal preference. Here are some pics of mine...

Via the aux in if you gave an 09-> or via a connects2 etc if you have an earlier model.

Recieved the option B control box.

I wonder if you can answer the following as im slightly confused with these electronic gizmo's..

1) Iv got you rear view cable and control box.
2) Iv also got the iphone AV cable off ebay.
3) Iv ordered the TV reciever and a DVD player half din..
4) I'm about to order the dension 300 gateway for sound.

Now question? seeing as iv got the AV cable for iphone, do i need to order the dension 300 iphone cradle with cable or on its own? Also will i need the Y cable as my car has sat nav?

I would order without the cable as you already have the AV cable...

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I hope this helps lol....

The first is my setup with the av switch I have, the second pic is with a similar switch, but shows the connections better... you don't need an AV switch, if you are happy just to swap cables about when you switch from TV to ipod etc.

Sorry, I missed your earlier post... I used to offer a version that allowed use with the OEM honda reversing camera, but I can no longer source the socket that the Green OEM camera plugs into

I've order a new connector which will allow your oem cam to plug into my control box just waiting for it to arrive to see if it is the correct type... I will keep you posted

That's awsome Bog! Definately keep me posted, if the connection is a success and providing my composite 'video in' plug for general video input is standard yellow then I'll certainly be taking one if that's good with you!

I know in your first post it does state that phono colour cannot be guaranteed but I planned on having a 'Gray52' style installation using a Red/White/Yellow phono setup in the glovebox. Would just appear very strange and confusing if it was Red/White/White etc lol
