New! Control Box for Reversing Camera/DVD/ipod etc.

The box plugs into the back of the Honda OEM Navigation System and allows a reversing camera and/or composite video source to be shown on the car's navigation screen.

This a new updated box, same functionality as before. It allows you to do the following:

• Switch on Reversing Camera when driving forward.
• Watch video source (iPad, iPhone, Car PC, DVD Player etc,) on Navigation Screen whilst driving forward or stationary.
• Switch automatically from video source to reversing camera when reversing.
• The unit can also be connected to AV Selector to allow connection of multiple devices i.e iPod, Car PC or DVD Player (and control of sound).
• Built in 6db attenuation to improve video image detail (some sources can be a bit bright without)

For connecting and controlling devices which have a composite video output such as:

• Aftermarket Reversing Camera (Such as MrBozo's here: For Sale ... Reverse Cameras)
• DVD Player or HDD Media Player
• iPod/iPad/iPhone
• Car PC
• Nokia or Android Phone with video out
• In Car DVB-T Digital TV Tuner
• Front facing camera
• Almost anything with a Composite Video Out

These work on all Honda's with a factory fitted Navigation System (Civic, CR-V, FR-V, Accord, Insight, Jazz and CR-Z).

The diagrams below shows the basic principal, typical set-up (with AV Selector) and the box it's self ....





You will need to buy your own switch(s) from Maplin et.c as style and location will depend on your personal preference. Here are some pics of mine...

New V3 Control Box - Full Audio & Video Switching

I'm exited to be able to offer this new version which allows the switching of the audio along with the video, so no need for a separate AV switch and it has the added benefit of only having one switch to cycle between the sources. The curcuit has been designed by Mr Bozo (Famous on here for his high quality Folding Mirror Boxes and his excellent electronics skills).

The V3 has exactly the same functions/features as the original Control Boxes but with the added control of the audio and only one switch required.

• Switches between reversing camera and 2 video inputs including sound.
• Just one push switch (included) cycles through the inputs.
• Standard AV leads allowing various connection options.
• Switch on Reversing Camera when driving forward.
• Watch video source (iPad, iPhone, Car PC, DVD Player etc,) on Navigation Screen whilst driving forward or stationary.
• Switch automatically from video source to reversing camera when reversing.
• The unit can also be connected to 2 AV devices i.e iPod, Car PC or DVD Player (and control of sound) or 1 AV device and Front Camera.

The audio out leads plug directly into a Denison, Connects2 etc. or in to to 09-> Aux Port with an adaptor lead like this.

You can install a switch of your choice to suit the location and position in your car. (Must be a momentary switch)

These work on all Honda's with a factory fitted Navigation System (Civic, CR-V, FR-V, Accord, Insight, Jazz and CR-Z).

The price for just the V3 control box including P&P to Malta would be 66 Euros

I just supply the control boxes and MrBozo sells the camera's (For Sale ... Reverse Cameras), but I'm sure between us we can combine the package to save you a bit on the postage

This is the switch I use which I installed for the proto-type of the V3 Control Box. The momentary switch I bought on ebay similar to this Metal LED Push Button Switch (Blue Ring, Momentary) | eBay

I just replaced the cig lighter which was redundant anyway.

O.K. ! - i was suddenly made 'redundant', so I temporarily stopped all voluntary expenditure - hence, my trip to the dealer (for the free and other work) got postponed ...

Of course, I got a new job, almost the day after I did this ...

SO - I have the new box you sent, still unused - now I really want a V3 !!! ...

Do me a deal ? - I'll send the unused box back (50% credit ?) - and you sell me a V3 ...

Again with brain-damaged-baboon-proof instructions ! ...

JDR....you'll love the V3. The audio part allows switching of audio along with switching video, ie switch to TV you get TV audio then switch to Media Player you get whatever sound is on your Media Player......simples....and you only need one switch like the one I used for the prototype. No real difference in installation apart from video and audio connections.
