Can you make a photoshop with the grill painted black?

And what does snazzy means? My English is not that good

Sorry, not that good as it's hard to convert Carbon back to matt without loosing some of the reflections/crispness of image.

A photo chop will never look as good as the finished article. You just need to pic up a copy of any motoring mag to see that.

As for Snazy - it means attractively new, fashionable, in short I quite like it as it would be different.

Jaydh - So by your definition the Civic can't look sporty because it's a hatch? Or because it doesn't have the power to justify looking sporty? I'd say you are wrong in both cases. I think that the civ shape would suit a bit of carbon and some subtle graphics.

to me, the point of carbon is to reduce weight (doesnt seem worth spending loads on money on large carbon panels otherwise). as i said in an earlier post, the only civic model which is worth putting on a diet is the type r as it will have the greatest effect. i think carbon should be used on performance cars (irrelevant of shape).

edit* btw, an opinion is never wrong, just different, obviously you can disagree with me but please dont tell me how i should think

i prefer the black nose picture

Ok I get where your coming from.

But surely reducing the power to weight ratio on any car would be advantageous, not just the Type R?

The diesel for example along with some tuning would probably benefit from a slight diet.

And as for me I like the use of carbon for it's aesthetic qualities. It adds texture and shading to aspects of the bodywork, which can completely change the initial look of a car (not necessarily for the better as we are discussing here).

phantom, i noticed you replied before i made an edit to my previous post, please read the edit.

improving power to weight of course is a good thing, but i think its only worthwhile on a type r, i dont think the other models are fast enough to warrant doing it. as you say yourself, the diesel WITH TUNING would be worth it cos then your focusing on performance.

i agree that carbon looks nice, but at £400+ for one panel, you might as well paint it black (which might look silly depending on what colour the rest of the car is)

I've seen carbon OE hoods on eBay recently, and if I had the cash to do it I would do something similar.

I would make sure that the carbon hood is cut into the paintwork following the lines of the grill so that it's not all an expanse of carbon. Then use some dark grey/silver graphics to finish, maybe with a tough of milano red as a highlight.

Biggest problem (apart from cash) is that aftermarket parts are still scarce. WIll look forward to seeing how your car developes over the next year.

Yeah, I agree it is a very valid opinion. £400 is a lot of cash to spend on a car purely on aesthetic reasons. But then again a good paint job with texture airbrushing would cos alot more. Not to mention the price of alloys these days.... still saving for my Rota Slipstreams.

Like I said the reasons behind doing it, for me, would be to change the looks of the car. I'm not trying to say 'Look at me. I've got a street racer.' That may be the opinion of someone seeing the car but, that is not the reason why I'd be doing it. To me it's the same as painting the car two-tone.

I don't like it either. I think it looks like a dog's nose, with these two holes in it.
It's not because it is a carbon replacement part that it automatically looks good, too. And for the extra weight loss: it's maybe the same as taking a leak before you drive off.

But hey, I don't have to like it, you have!

K.

It would look better with a Honda badge in the middle.

The best grill upgrade I have seen is one of the simplest and cheapest:

Red H in front grill...

Carbon would look great with a milano red colored body !! But with a black NHK according to my taste seams a little saddish. Would give a little brightness to it putting on a "H" badge on the front ... work it out.
