Snow Foam Application

After seeing Boozyjunior's thread about washing his car i decided i wanted snowfoam!

http://www.civinfo.com/forum/cleanin...tml#post139452

after doing a bit of research i found that the snowfoam applicator is the best part of £50!!!!!!

is there other applicators on the market that are a lot cheaper? and how good are they?

i do have a karcher and i know they make similar products but do they work well with snow foam?

i thought i would get some views before i go buy somthing!

On reading the other thread, how much of the good effect is down to the 'snow foam', and how much is down to the fact he spent 3 hours cleaning it!!!!!

The lances are a touch costly - but they're a one time buy rather than something that lasts 6 months before needing replaced.
Invest in one, and apart from yanking out the PW, you'll enjoy washing the car more than carting two buckets around the car.

I've got one from a company called AUTO RAE-CHEM and I can safely say it's the most fun I have ever had washing a car. I've used both the snow foam and Snow Wax both very good.

The neighbours all think I'm nuts anyway

Does it look something like this, which was caused by a faulty garage jetwash:

You wont get anywhere near the same amount of foam from the Karcher Foam Lance if you want more info check across on A world for detailers...

There are a good few posts where people have bought the one from Halfords then bought the more expensive lances to get the thick foam which does drag dirt off the car

Ian's right - the piddly ones you get with or buy afterwards branded Karcher are a poor substitute.
Yes, it costs less, and you can get it immediately (more often than not) but the size is half what the proper ones are, and you have a ratio control which the cheap ones don't, so you're stuck with the preset ratio they are designed at.

Order one early this week, and you can do the car next weekend rather than making do with the inferior version, even if more convenient and you get your purchase 'fix' sooner. In the long run, it's worth the small delay.
