Now here's the problem...

My dealer has just sent me an email that says he can do me an Image Pack for £1200 instead of £1530 .

Pack contains: Front and rear lower spoilers, side skirts, tailgate spoiler. All painted in NHB and fitted.

My car is now 18 months old and I usually replace every 3 years. Oh what do I do?

Trouble is, I've had the leather interior added and my wife thinks this will be a total waste as we will never recoup the leather, let alone adding £1200 of body styling!!...Oh; and there was a mention of divorce!!

She's usually right!!

Are you sure June didn't just hear "£1200 pounds for a new piece of skirt?"

I started off by saying....'I can save £330...'.

She replied...'Well, if it's only £200 then it's a waste of money'.

I replied...'It's actually £1200...'.

Big intake of breath....'WHAT !!!...you must be mad...'.

So she hasn't exactly said 'Over my dead body'; and I must admit that I do usually (not always) get my own way.

I'm confuse to have to say it Allan, but your Wife is right. Wait for you next car and add this money to the deal or include that in the bargain for your next one

Yes, I've got the pack, but waiting to hear the earliest date I can activate it. Good deal if you have Sky TV, you get the 'Mid' broadband for only £5 per month.

£1200... 3 years = 36 months minus 18 months...
makes 66,66 £ per month. Ouch
I woud say, don't - unless you intend to keep the car a few years longer

Yes, you're right. Thought I would get a vote of confidence from my daughter today, but she sided with Mrs T.

I guess it's a no-go.

Hmmm; although it would have some residual value....

Dont waste your money you just as well put the £1200 straight in the bin as you wont get that back on a trade in. If you have driven your car for 18 months quite happily and you are replacing the car in 18 months anyway, save the £1200 towards the next one.

Angry

My view, stop messing about & accept the car as it was presented.
I've long since given up on all this.
It's you that drives the car & what difference will a few 'skirts' make anyway ?
If you're going to change it soon there's no point.
Think about it !
Whatever we do to whatever we have in terms of cosmetic changes won't be remembered by descendants who never knew us anyway so what's the point in temporary respect mostly from a general public who we don't even know us /you ?

That's just what I think within reason, when looking at one of my completed buildings.
Will they give a sh--, in 50 years time.
