Nice job on the car fella Just got my NHB with 18 storms delivered last week and can't wait to get her waxed at the weekend.

Have you used Meg's Clay on the car yet?? I have half a bar left and think I might start off with this after a good wash..........

I haven't used anything except a couple of extra coats of Supagard cream, Meguiars Gold Class polish (about 4 coats), Meguiars Quik Wax (about 4 coats) and Meguiars Ultimate Detailer (about 6 coats). All of that and still it doesn't stop stone chips (although I only have 3 very small ones!!).

Its OK I just picked you up wrong....After saying that I rang the dealer today and told him how bad the swirl marks were and could he do anything for me ,he said to bring the car down to him and he would look at it and that they should be able to be BUFFED out, he diddnt mention anything about paying for it and neither did I so it will be interesting to see what happens.. I will keep you posted

Well I took the car to the dealers today,It was nice and sunny and the swirl marks stood out really well, he said that it was down to being washed wrongly (not by me Im very careful how I do it),but because the car was Honda UK and 6 months old when I got it he has agreed to take the car on Friday and hopefully sort it out (giving me a courtsey car in the process ). He said they would Buffed out.. Does anyone know should this work, and is it safe using the Buffer on the paint work????..Cheers gers.

Hey, great result. I wouldn't worry, your dealer (or his man) will know what they are doing. They'll be very gentle with her bodywork!

Thanks.... I was very pleased with the way he handled it allthough he did say, "Just this once and dont come back in 6 months if it happens again .. He also said that they dont have thier own body repair workshop there,(very supprised..its a very big dealership supplying Honda,Mazda,Ford and Hyundai.). So hopefully the guy whos doing it knows what hes at...I will post on Friday as to how I got on.

Well got the Space-ship back today and I must say I am well pleased with the result, there are still a few very minor swirl marks still in it, but 95% of them are gone...Im going to use some Scratch X on it and hopefully that should sort it out..I was told by the body work guy today to use ...Turtle Wax Colour Magic... he says it will mask the swirls and then use a high quality wax on top of that...Anyone tried this

Thats a lot of coats! Have you considered wrapping the car in a duvet instead?

Just been washing mine, also applied AutoGlym Super Polish Resion and Extra High Gloss Protection. Am going to make a trip to Halfords tomorrow and look at what else I can apply to it on the wax front...
Difficult to know what the difference between them all is I always find...
Mine is very shiny at the moment, but there is another thread on here boasting about how great Milano red is, which it is but NHB is better!!
Some awsome pictures of it in Red and I need to get one up of my NHB...!

Don't even get me started about getting the car looking perfect.

My missus will come to where I work and use the valeting bays..... yes all three of them. Needs space to spread out the cleaning materials.

She'll roll in at 9.30ish and I'll have to kick her out just before 5pm when I go home!!

Mind you the car looks amazing when she has finished.

Both the EP3 and S2K we had looked stunning. Can't wait to see what the NHB FN2 comes out like.

NHB is the best colour for reflections but is really hard work to keep clean

I use Turtle Wax Nanotech Extreme Was & Wax, Glass Cleaner, Cockpit & Bumper Shine, Tyre Ge, Wheel Cleaner, Speed Wax, Wax Paste & Upholstery Protector - Basicly the entire range lol and that car comes up a treat got 2 coats of the speed wax on the car then 4 coats of wax paste and its pretty shiny so all i do now is a wash over with the foam lance then dry it and thats me done just a wax every month keeps me happy.

NHB defenately worth all the effort
