Does that type fit ok as it looks like the car it comes from has a square base?
The civics is round so wondered what the fit was like?

Mines delivered next day and fitted in 5mins looks good.

Needed about 1inch trimmed of the bottom for better fitting and however there is no plastic collar at top of leather to hold it up but it sits up fine anyway.

Good job for £9.98

Have to wait a few weeks before I get my car, but must say, the gear lever look is something I'd be keen to get rid of, ie fit a gaiter.
Presumably, the gear knob just unscrews, and you slide the gaiter down, and fasten at the bottom.

Done mine.

One thing to bear in mind is that if you have the Type-R gearknob (or any smaller after market knob) then the Audi TT gaiter is slightly too short.

I have the original S2000 gearknob on mine and the gaiter is maybe 5mm shorter than it needs to be, when I put the car in the most extreme gears (6th, reverse etc) the gaiter is about 10mm from the bottom of the gearknob. It's ok for now, but I might buy something longer at a later date if this winds me up too much

Poor quality piccie attached, this was taken quickly without smoothing out the gaiter for photo purposes, the creases shown in the leather are the amount of gaiter required to allow gear shift movement...

Try Gaitersworld on ebay the seller id is "grzegorz2999" should get one delivered for under £10. The gaiters are as per link before the audi one.
Bottom trim comes up if you prize it with a credit card and gearknob unscrews.

Do you know if that silver plastic surround is available as a spare and how much? On the car I'm getting it's scratched and I know it'll anoy me so hoping to replace.

Just the silver part. It's clipped on - one either side about third of the way down and one clip at bottom. My gaiter arrived today - fitted in a couple of minutes and looks so much better, why Honda didn't do it in the first place???
