Wheel arch mouldings
I found on saturday that the rear nearside wheelarch moulding had become detatched from the rear bumper moulding of my 1.8se,how I'm not sure as I do not remember any loud noises when driving.
I have put it back together but the two mouldings do not line up it looks as if they should clip together but no clips(possibly broken off). The wheel arch trim sits proud of the bumper trim. Is this a difficult job to do and any ideas how much a dealer would charge to do this. Is this a common problem and if so any suggestions as to how to stop this happening again. |

The trim is held on with about 12 clips and 2 screws. It also hooks into the bumper trim. So it would be very unlikely to come off on it's own. I expect a kerb just caught the underside of it and pulled it off.
The wheel-arch trim should just push back into the bumper trim and just click into place. There are no separate clips where the 2 join, it is moulded into the trim. I found it a bit fiddly, but it went in eventually. I don't think it should take a dealer any more than 5 minutes to sort out, as long as there doesn't appear to be any damage to the trim. |
