Plastic edges (all round the car)

I noticed last week just before I started to clean the car that the black plastic bits in places were white, as if they were fading. So I thought a good clean might fix it, then I got some autoglym bumper care, went all around and was perfect but then day or two later, I noticed it again.

So is there a better product to bring it back to normal again? or am i gonna have to keep autoglyming it every day.

Try back to black, that should work for a while.

I had a little fear this might happen, it might be worth long tiem paying for them to be colour coded by honda. Long term though is there any conditioning to be done to prevent ths

Go with the Back to Black. ( it wont turn them completely black), which is what you want.

ok you need to trust me on this one it does work and brilliantly

get some SMOOTH peanut butter and plaster it onto the plastic the oil will soak into the plastic and take it back to black it will also remain black for a long time all you need to do is buff the peanut butter off once it has dried and hey presto good as new

Sounds good to me, but when we return to our cars, would we find scumbags licking them instead of trashing them.

ha ha i was just thinking that or i will end up eating it before it touches the car. I mean i am not being funny but wont your neighbours think you have completely lost the plot when they see you applying a jay of peanut butter to your car.

BTW do we use nutty or smooth??

I had a similar problem and found this solution on loads of american car forums. So there you go, probably an american! But yeah it seems to work! - Apparently its the peanut oil that does the trick, and should mention the creamiest and full fat the better.
