Engine bay

Hello All,

My engine bay is spotless and all the nuts and bolts look box fresh thanks to the car being almost brand new.

I've been spraying it with WD40 to stop it going rusty/manky, but I was wondering what's the best thing to use to stop it get corroded. A liberal application of grease?

Suggestions welcome.

WD 40??? And then rinse with what? If you leave oily stuff in the bay I believe it will catch huge amounts of dust

WD40 is great for cleaning the black plastic parts, i find it lasts longer if you spray it on a rag and wipe the plastic rather than just spraying it straight on.

you can rub in silicone grease into the rubber pipes and seals to rejuvinate them but there shouldnt be the need to do that for a few years at least.
