Fuel Cap

Hey,

Does anyone know if it is possible to adjust the fuel filler cap release so that it actually springs open when you pull it... like that on the Audi TT?
It seems like there is some sort of catch that stops it fully opening without you having to give it a pull.
Maybe its a no go or there's a good reason for it not doing this, I just noticed a TT in the garage the other night and thought it looked quite cool.

Cheers,

Colin

TTs are cool full stop!

the Civ cap should spring open a fair way though - is your spring clip fitted the right way round?

Very true indeed... one day

Just checked and the spring is fitted the right way, it opens about half an inch on its own.

Over here some had problems with the fuel cap and windscreen. So they sent me a letter asking me if i could take the car in to replace some parts. Maybe you could ask your dealer about it
