Very carefully as it is not glass but very soft plastic.

Use a Microfiber cloth not a mit unless it has a very long pile. You can basically just take it over the dash, perspex etc really softly. I find that when you use a mit then you apply too much preasure which will move tiny little bits of grit round as you go.

Try Autoglim dash cleaner and a lint free cloth, this stuff is fantastic. I have used it for years!

I use an LCD TV/Computer screen cleaner. It uses a cleaning fluid for removing any greasy marks and a microfibre pad for wiping it clean.

Its also anti-static to reduce dust build up.

If its just dusty I use a Pledge Fluffy duster, they work great.

Just read leodis41 post and would like to comment. I bought a plasma tv and the screen was smudgy for ages. Looked for suitable products and found a brilliant one at Asda. Its got "Mr Strand" on the side and it costs about a fiver, its also got a "spongy" wipe on the side and for plasmas I swear by it, as for soft plastic I don't know as I haven't tried it yet, but its suitable for video camera lens and computer screens.

THE way to clean glass is with the purest, cleanest water you can find with a splash of ammonia in to cut the surface tension. Wet a suitably sized tool (sponge, cloth any non-scratching medium) and wring till almost dry. Wipe glass (clear plastic etc). Wipe away excess with (good quality) squeegee. Tidy up with soft kitchen towel. I found this method many, many, moons ago when the Guinness Book of Records holder for fastest window cleaner was on the telly.
This method can be modified and used on any surface you want to be completely clean, as most other methods leave something behind. Just make sure that the ammonia doesn't melt whatever the material is, you don't get it undiluted on anything that can be bleached and that anything you use doesn't scratch; like the pure cotton terry towels I'm sure you all use on your cars after washing them with a sheep-skin mitt.

Have you got Oakley sun glasses? The bag they come in (doubles up as lens cloth) works a treat. No scratches, it clears the dust and doesn't smudge the anti glare coating. Any camera/glasses lens cloth will work.

One question- why do people have sticky/greasey marks on the rev counter screen? Top tip, don't touch it!!!

I use HAMA LCD Cleaning Gel. It comes with a microfibre cloth. The gel does not run and the cloth is washable. I have no scratches on the clear plastic in front of the rev counter.
