Type-R FN2 Replica Front Badge

I managed to get my hands on a front badge for my Type-R from this guy in singapore (£9). It seems a bit big but a fraction of the price of the original item. I stuck it on using no more nails sticky strips. Thought i'd post this before it flies off / gets nicked.

eBay UK Shop - Car Badge: MUGEN, TRD, TYPE-R

Bigger is better as the say in America! It is definately better as it is pressed aluminium rather than plastic. Only downside is there is no clips on it to interface with the grill so a DIY glue job is required!

A couple of no more nails strips and you'll need a crowbar to move it!

I fitted mine the other week, the official one from honda

Think the badge is meant to run parallell with the bonnet so that it's on a slight angle.

I am afraid you may be wrong there. Did you not get any instructions with your badge ? As it shows where it actually fits and parallel with the bonnet is not it, as the badge looks crooked.
Hope the clips come off easily enough for you.

I did read the instructions and it says to ensure the badge runs parallel with the top of the grill which is parallel with the edge of the bonnet. look at pics of other cars on here with the official honda badge,

found one here, doesn't look right IMO having it level

pic i found on ebay, don't know if this is an official badge, take pics of mine over weekend.

It is an official badge fitted buy an official dealer. The picture is one from Holdcroft Hondas listing for the front splitter.

And very nice it looks too!!!

I thought you had to take the front bumper off to fit the original...that was why it was so damned expensive......Conrad, I really like your idea. I was worried that if I bought the official one, some prize idiot would fancy it, yank it off and take a chunk of the grill off with it. For £9 I think I will buy a couple....and not use too much adhesive...Good shout
