Thumbs up Cleaning Dash (Good or Bad)

When cleaning inside of car i decided to use some Uvex spray(usually used for cleaning specticals) and believe me i nearly passed out when i saw the results DISASTER Could not even see through the mess i had made. Now for the good news, wondering what to do about it,i spotted the wife cleaning the windows, she uses a touch of Woolite in the water she uses, grabbed it of her back to the car used her cloth to apply and dried of using a microfibre cloth, the surfaces came up shining best i've ever seen.Could this be our new cleaner for the dash.If anyone is brave enough to try this, let me know how you get on.
Bowl of water, dash of Woolite,Microfibre cloth.

My experience is not to use any cleaners or liquids of any kind on the dash, just a dry microfibre with light pressure.

The cleaners never seem to leave a smooth clear surface once the sun gets on it at the right/wrong angle.

Damp, soft, clean leather (Autoglym Aqua-Dry synthetic) and remove rings from fingers etc before using so as to avoid any nasty scrapes or scratches.

Well. at least with Woolite, the glass won't shrink and you can hang weights off it.

When we had our's at the dealer to try and fix the squeaky dash the first thing
they asked us is if we used any products to clean the dash with.
According to the dealer, all these products just make the squeaky dash even worse.

Never heard of that, but ok, just thought I'd pass it on

Looks very good indeed jlr.
You will need my patented JTL kit for where you have keyed the plastic. :--
One kids felt tip pen to check the colour, followed by a fine tip waterproof felt tip pen, using your thumb in a dabbing motion to blend it in.
The weights in the advert are to show that the clothes don't go saggy, using Woolite.

Having two grandchildren there are plenty felt tipped pens about the house, might just take you up on your suggestion.Still not sure about the weights though.
