Looking to clean the grey knurled plastic

Hi there

I'm looking to clean the grey textured plastic on the rest of the dash as there seems to be a off coloured mark on the passenger side. (seems something may have been stuck there...)

What do you recommend to get this off as it's in between the texture so must be strong enough to get at it but not too strong that it destroys the dash!

Thanks

I would try WD40 first, if it won't help, perhaps alcohol?

WD40 cleans a multitude of things, I had new double glazing installed and that was what they told me to use to clean my upvc, its truly a multifunction product.

Ok!

I will see how it goes! Do you recommend just cleaning the affected area (by spraying directly on) or spray it onto a cloth and giving it a good buff from there?

I got some Matt Interior Dash Wipes a while back and they are like baby wipes but dry to a matt finish.

Nothing worse than a shiny dash in the sun (IMO).

WD-40 all the way!! Amazing stuff - cleans everything from glue residues to alloy wheels!

Oh, and spray some on the underside of your mower - it stops the grass sticking to it so you can wash it off easily....

I remember back in the day when I had a vinyl roof on my Hillman Hunter and was told to refresh it with a mixture of petrol and engine oil worked a treat but I wouldn't recommend it on a dash even on a cheap old car - stick with specialist dash cleaners like robbo says...

And you'll be able to talk to people like Robbo and I in the chatbox, but don't let that put you off.
