i-VTEC badge where? (Trivia question)
I've looked at several pictures in the 'Gallery' trying to decide where to position my new i-VTEC badge I purchased on ebay for 1p (probably my best bargain ever!).
I can't decide between the boot lid bottom right (where most 'Type' badges go) or the opposite side or above that, opposite side to the 'Civic' badge. Any recommendations? Last edited by allan40alt; 1st May 2008 at 07:18. |

I would go with bottom right of the tailgate (where the Type R/S badges would be)
I think this is also where the earlier diesels had their i-CTDi badge, before it was made a sticker on the window. Found a picture on an old post. ![]() Last edited by pjr; 30th April 2008 at 13:11. |

Sport badge..
Abit cheesy I know, but I bought a "Sport" badge one day when at the local car accessory shop. I had a weak moment and ended up buying one and stuck it onto the letf hand lower edge of the tailgate.
I might end up taking it off when it starts loosing it's chrome.. It'll probably fall off one day when washing it..! |

Thanks guys. I did another search through the very old gallery (even pre my own) and all of the i-CDTi badges (no i-VTEC to be seen) were fitted under the Civic badge where you normally see the 'Type' badge.
But I just thought! What if they say they've dispatched it but haven't really!! I've paid 1p for the badge but £5.99 airmail and £1 insurance then, when I claim for non delivery, they could say "OK, we'll refund your cost price"! I've paid £7.00 and get 1p back! PS: They've said it's been dispatched! |

Decided to position it where all the i-CDTi badges are.
Cleaned the area first with Methylated Spirit (advised not to use White Spirit as it leaves a slightly oily film). Good job I got it right first time as it seemed to be pulled from my fingers as it was about 1mm from the paint surface. Gave it a good polish and hey presto: Last edited by allan40alt; 4th May 2008 at 08:05. |
