Ah,yes; a nice small EX would look good on mine just there.

PS: I've just had a look on ebay and there's loads of chrome adhesive letters on offer.

Now I know that howls of laughter are about to be heard around the Civinfo World but; it fell off!

Well, it didn't exactly 'fall' off, I noticed one end seemed to be lifted and decided to test it with my finger nail. It came away smoothly from the adhesive tape and I was then faced with the job of removing the tape from the paintwork. It came off quite well using my finger nail and the residue came off with some White Spirit and a re-polish, so no probs.

Now all I need is some decent double-sided tape to re-apply it. Problem seems to be a small narrow ridge around the underneath edge of the emblem so I'll cut the new tape to the inside of the edge to give a larger grip area throughout the centre of the lettering. That should make it sit closer to the paint surface as well.

Happy days!

Thank you.

[quote=allan40alt;177140]I've looked at several pictures in the 'Gallery' trying to decide where to position my new i-VTEC badge I purchased on ebay for 1p (probably my best bargain ever!).

Make sure it's sticks good this time, you need to protect your investment

My wife says that with the postage and the tape it's rapidly turning into most expensive purchase ever!

PS: I can't tell you where she reckoned I should put it!! Ouch!!!

Well I have to agree with her, the tape has cost you 499 times more than the badge

I also agree, but I'm in some pain at the moment!! Ooo, I wish I had got a smaller badge!!

At least the new 'No More Nails' tape will be useful in the future on other jobs around the home.

Blimey, my blokes use "No More Nails" for holding up my buildings.
Hope the tape version isn't so strong.

Do forget to thoroughly wash the badge before putting it back on

Decided not to put it back; after painstakingly cutting around it with a craft knife as the 'chrome' had started to wear off - what a waste of money that was!!....not the cost of the item as it was only 1p, but the postage AND the 'No More Nails' tape.

However, today, whilst waiting for my new alarm siren to be fitted (as a result of my battery failure) I had a look around and saw in the car park a CRV that had a i-VTEC badge on each front wing.

Looked good so I've ordered one at a cost of £11.75 .

Oh rats; I didn't think to search for a CRV i-VTEC badge on ebay!!!

PS: Well there are two on there for around £8 + £1 p&p. Together with the one from HK where the bidding starts at 1p.

The one I've ordered is £11.75, but that should be the genuine article. The ones around £8 on ebay look good though.

i-VTEC EMBLEM BADGE ACCORD INTEGRA CIVIC JAZZ X 2 on eBay, also, Vauxhall Opel, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 06-Jun-08 19:06:12 BST)
