Smile Cleaning velour seats and door handles

Hi Everyone

First post here and just about to get my new 2nd hand Honda Civic 1.8 ES on Sat. I had a 07 ford fiesta before but needed a bit more space and extra gadgets, cruise control and aircon so hense the honda. i'm not new to owning a honda i actually had a honda civic ages ago, which was a cracking car (94 plate special edition bali).

anyway the main point of this post is how do you clean the velour seats and repair the worn velour door handles? the door handles are only very slightly worn but i would like to try and spruce them up abit on what else is a spotless car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks in advance

Hi,

Welcome.

What year is the Civ??? As I can't place velour door handle, do you mean the bit under the armresty bit on the door??? (i.e. the door cards?).

I use a mild cleaning solution (commertially avaliable from halfords) on mine and use a special fabric sponge (it is rougher than a normal sponge and I just use it gently once in a blue moon, that keeps my Alcantra in good nick).

Tom

Thank you for the quick reply
the car is a 06 plate and i guess you could call it the door card. its just next to the silver bit next to the electrics for the window. it is velour isn't it? i'm useless with fabrics its kind of suedey!
