Collinite waxes ??

If like me you are perplexed with the different types of Collinite waxes my supplier has given a quick resume of the different numbers , hope they help.
Should you need to contact him for more details or advice his email is Gareth at ......... sales@detailedobsession.co.uk
www.detailedobsession.co.uk

845 – the warmest look (the least durable here, but more durable than virtually all non Collinite products, especially at this price range)
476 – the brightest look (also the most durable)
915 – the deepest look

I would say 915 is by far more durable than 476s. By miles!

I find the 476 lasts about 2 to 3 months before you get areas that loose the water beading effect. How long does the 915 last ?

Yeah I'd agree with that, though the beading is still there just not as effective. I find that the colour shine remains strong though...

I'm not really sure how long the 915 lasts, I tend to wax my car once a month. I can say though I have found both the 476 and 915 to be exeptionally good

And to which I'd say you'd have a great deal of difficulty in choosing which one was which if all three were applied to 3 identical cars.
In fact, you've reminded me about something - this

Slough!!!
Reminds me of "Car Wars" on the TV
Seriously..
Too far...
I'm happy with my shine...
I dont need to see the differences...slight IMO as they will be.
I've tried a few... Poorboys, Swissvax, Victoria, Dodo Juice, P100.......etc...etc...
Collinite gives the 'best bang for bucks' of all the waxes Ive tried..
Used in conjunction with Bilt-Hamber Auto Balm..Its even better!!

I am coming to the same conclusion as Robbo , tried a hell of a lot of waxes , cheap ones and very expspensive ones , but having tried Collinite its going to take alot of beating AND IS VERY COST EFFECTIVE , all I have to do is get to grips with the range they do. I am already insulated against electrical storms now ...........lol

Hi, which one do you do first, the Auto Balm or the Collonite?

Cheers,

Dave

Collinite first (3 coats)
then BH (3coats)
NOTE: First coat of BH is hard to buff, the others are easier
NOTE 2: You can ditch Collinite , but I prefer both

Hey Guys,

I've got a question, what happens after you have applied the BH can you then apply say Collinite or R222 again in time or best not to?

This BH looks appealing but as I have already spent some cash on the Collinite and R222 products I dont want to make them obsolete just yet.

Sell the Collinite and R222, or use them up first before getting the AB.
Best not to put wax over the top of AB as the carrier solvents will likely remove or weaken the AB such that the durability is compromised.

I'm gonna try Collinite then the BH AB, just to see if my 10 coats can help it last as long as possible.

Hello Mate,

Ah cool, thanks.
I did wonder if that was the case. So far I am more than happy with the Collinite & R222 so may stick with those for now, then as you say once their gone get the BH.

I will be Colliniting over the BH next and then BH on top of that...
Durability is not a concern to me as I tend to do this each month
The shine is very good indeed and the water beading too

Have found Collinite to be good, but prefer Harly Wax, which is also cheaper.....both good waxes though...and in my experience the Harly Wax has lasted longer....but guess its down to the prep anyway.....as said detailing world is a good source of info
