ArmorAll products

Some years ago I purchased some ArmorAll Heavy Duty Wipes.

They were in a round plastic container with a black lid, the centre had a small flap through which you pulled the wipes. I think they contain 80 moist wipes.

These were brilliant at cleaning grease, paint, oil etc from hard surfaces as well as hands.

I've searched the web but cannot find these Heavy Duty Wipes, only car wipes or glass wipes or leather wipes or Bug and Wheel Wipes.

I tried another brand from Halfords (they used to do these ArmorAll Heavy Duty Wipes) but could only find a different brand (Swarfega) that were dried out (alcohol evaporated) and left a greasy residue!

I may just have to settle for these:

Armorall Heavy Duty Hand Wipes from Halfords Price £2.49

I'm sure they can be used on hard surfaces as well as hands.

If all else fails, just use baby wipes, my OH did a Bob Ross wet on wet oil painting course and was recommended taking along baby wipes for cleaning canvas, brushes and hands etc.

She was amazed at how well they worked.

The read-up on the container appears very similar to the ArmorAll ones. Think I'll get them. Thank you.

I think baby wipes will leave an oily/creamy residue as they need to be suitable for babies bums; but thank's for suggesting them.

My local asda have armorall car wipes but not sure if they are heavy duty, perhaps the larger asda stores will.

No, they're not the ones. The closest seems to be the Wonder Wipes.

I bought the Wonder Wipes from ebay, but from FYMAC as they were only £3.53 + £3 p&p. They have a good feedback as well.

Item No: 320269836223

Only 3 left now.

Thanks again.

Allan, only the premium wipes have creamy additions, my parents use the cheap baby wipes to clean grease etc. from fabric on blinds, with no residue IIRC, as they buy the Tesco/sainsbury value ones.

Thanks Tom, I should have access to some of them soon as we're expecting our first grandchild in September, so I'll be able to try a few out!

My son has already bought her a Chelsea team baby outfit in Pink!!

I'm buying her a Scalextric for Christmas, but I may have to keep it here until she's old enough!

Not a problem.

They come in handy, and don't dry out as long as the cap kept closed.
