Caliper painting with Robbo!

Decided to paint my calipers today and Robbo very kindly popped round to help!

I was going to go for red but decided that it may look a bit chavvish on an ES with standard 16" wheels so opted for silver.

Here is the result...

Then a quick glaze and wax with moose wax...

After doing the Civic, Robbo had still not satisfied his adiction so when my sister turned up he insisted on giving her (rather filthy) Hyundai Gets a quick buff...

Thanks for your help today robbo!!

Very Very nice, I want to do my calipers but have had the car a year and they have stuff on them which looks like a furred up kettle, looks like calcium deposit type thing if you get me. Any tips on removing this before painting with Hammerite or shall I just paint over corrosion?

Give them a quick wire brush and you'll be fine with Hammerite.

Guessing you have to remove the wheels, but otherwise is it easy to do??

VERY easy Tom, takes longer to remove the wheels than it does to paint! Put it this way, robbo was doing the painting and I was cleaning each wheel as it came off. It took robbo less time to paint that caliper than it did for me to clean the wheel!

What he hasnt told you was about the flat tyre and nothing to clean the brush out in....Oh and all the family arriving to clean the company runabout. It did clean up well, even if it was just the bonnet that I had a go at

Lol, I think robbo needs his own wee bit in the commercial section where you can book him for paint work care, calliper painting etc.
