New bumper fitted
After ignoring the lying BBC weather forecast I took the plunge and fitted the new bumper that Gordans of Bolton supplied, it was quite easy, I took the bumper off and put all the bits from the old bumper into the new bumper.
It took me an age to put it all back together though, wasn't difficult, just fiddly. I was so tired afterwards I had an hour kip! Car looks great again now though. I am pleased with the results. |

The production manager at work recently had one of those smart repairs done on the rear bumper on his CTS, It cost over £200 and wasn't really that good. He was not impressed when I told him he could have had the whole thing replace at the dealers for that price. |

That's what I thought, it was £200 for a repray so I went for the replace instead at £100. Its a 2 man job to get it on and off though, I did it myself and I struggled a few times.
Yes, its a Type S bumper. |

if its that cheap to replace a bumper, would it be cheaper to replace wheel arch/side skirts/bumper trim, than having it colour coded?
