Angry Removing chewing gum from seat

In new CIVIC ES only to discover I had sat on some chewing gum on the Tube (very pleasant environment -not) which had transferred itself to my black (Alcantara) seat surface. Tried putting ice cubes on it and picking bits off but the mess is still visible. Any thoughts on removal without damaging surface of the seat ?

Persevere with the bag of ice cubes held on it for five minutes, that should allow it to be pulled off, then follow up any residue with some upholstery whipes.

Aaarrgggghhh! Nightmare! I had someone put chewing gum on my carpets and mats and I've got some stuff called spray and clean. If you know anyone who may have this then get a little from them. It works a treat.

I've used that stuff on clothes before and it worked a treat. Just don't know how well it would work on a car seat.

Alcantra's site says not to use any detergents on the seats as they are sort of "scotchguarded" already, I know oil just wiped off mine with no stain what so ever.

Unfortunately Tom, as Illegalhunter says chewing gum is a nightmare to remove.

Yes id definatley say keep trying with the ice cubes! Stain devil should be ok thou as it is specifically made for fabric - just do a test first on an inconspicuous part of the fabric!!!
