SO, I took the plunge and bought the suggested Gold car wash stuff, and the water magnet towl thingy. That with some other bits and pieces including rain-x came to a small fortune.

Washed the car this evening, and WOW- what a difference! Was a bit sceptical about a car wash, and the £15 price tag nearly made my girlfriend choke! The car looks better than the day I picked it up, and the towel thing dried the whole car - completely free of streaks and smears, without the need to ring(sp) the thing out.

Just thought I'd let you know... Thanks for the advice.

Best thing is it actually stays clean for ages too. This stuff definitely makes the paintwork look a lot nicer.

My car has the Supagard full treatment applied to it which means they also gave me a really nice black case full of their cleaning products.

Shampoo, Alloy Cleaner, Tyre Cleaner, etc, plus all the tools required.

Has anyone else got this and tried it?

Ian

I'd complained so often, because of their numerous failed delivery dates, eventually I told them that if I did'nt get the car on a particular day, the deal was off. So I got my car on the day in question, and they gave me the Supagard on the exterior only. They did'nt have time to do the lot. They did'nt give me the kit though.

I'm using everything except the Meguiar's towel - using a real leather Halfords EXTRA large as recommended elsewhere - guess I should get myself the towel... what is the full name of it please anyone?

You guys raving about how good the Meguair's towel is for drying your car off, which one out of all of these is it that you are using before I go to Halfords please!

Thanks.

Very much a personal choice but I like the micro fibre cloths for polishing. I keep a separate one for the windscreen.

That water magnet drying towel looks good. Never knew they made them, think I'll get one myself.

The water magnet towel is great, dried the whole car down without having to squeeze any water out of it, doesn't leave any water behind, with a chamois you sometimes have to go over an area a couple of times to really get the water off.

Rich - after reading this I went out and bought one this afternoon, the washleather is now consigned to the bin.

I was a little dubious that it could dry the whole car without ringing but it did. My respect for Megauir's (can never remember how to spell that) just keeps rising.
