Angry God Damn Road Gritters

Arggg I just had to go out urgently and driving down a dual carriageway the road gritters were out, I didn't want to pass and slowed right down but the car behind was flashing me so I went passed and it sprayed my car in grit and it sounded awful as it hit the car

On inspection this morning it would seem I have some dents in the paint and they are on the opposite side to the scratches

The car is quite wet and dirty so I can't get a proper look until its been washed, don't think I want to wash it now!

Do you go round with a magnifying glass or something. stop looking for problems and you will stop seeing them!

well theres faults with a car and there is just plain pickiness, i love my car but if you get a scratch it cant be helped, as for the gritters, i would much rather have a couple of tiny marks on my car than slide off into a lampost etc.
as said before, if you dont examine your car for the tiniest of marks then you wont see them, i have been sprayed 3 times by gritters but i havent gone looking for chips.
rant over lol

OK! If you ever have the misfortune of getting problems with the paintwork on your car - remember those words!!

I do not need a magnifying glass to see some of the marks on my car so adding to them is a pain in the bum.

I think everybody has different levels of quailty and yours may be a little different to Topcats. The paint work, rattles and various other problems we are all having to put up with are just not excusable on cars costing over £18000 from Honda.
It is easy just to ignore some of the faults, and to some paintwork is not a major issue but to others it is. The quailty of the paintwork on mine is appalling, and i dont have to go looking for marks you can't miss them. The cars only done 4000miles and the bonnet / bumper looks like it's been shot blasted. Ive got more chips that McDonalds. Along with the other faults i have had, i will say that this will be my first and last Honda until they can make significant improvements in quailty to what should be a fantastic car.

I agree. I am fed up of being accused of moaning and ranting, what is wrong with having high standards.

I did try to point this out on another thread so we didn't go off topic but it has been closed!!!

Topcat, you have 100% ownership of your own moans. And the rest of us have 0% right to comment adversely on them. Only you know how ghastly your problems appear to you. If someone else thinks they're insignificant, that's irrelevant. I think some rallying round is called for, rather than disparagement.

Happy Christmas, anyway. Hope the new year provides you with the standard of motoring Hoda has always been famous for..

If your car has rattles, scratches and issues but you still believe it to be fantastic I am very pleased for you.

It is a fantastic looking car I agree, but I personally would not call a car with lots of problems fantastic I would call it disappointing. If none of us complained and accepted poor quality then what will the next generation of car be like if the issues are not addressed?

it is a fantastic car, yes i agree it would be even better without the faults but you have to look past that and enjoy it.
with regards to none of us compaining, i agree that these issues need to be fixed but going on and on about EVERY tiny mark or noise on your car on here doesnt get it fixed does it. im not saying you shouldnt complain TC but it is literally everything, you never seem to say anything positive.
i think it has been said before and ill say it again, if you are that unhappy with your car then take t back and get something else.

But I have so much more to say !!

Actually I think if you look you will find I have said positive things about this car, and I have said before I can not afford to lose £1000s by getting rid of this car.

I am not always the one to start a "bugs, faults and irritations" thread, so shall I stop giving my comments on other people's threads if I have the same problem?

Btw did I mention when I was looking with my magnifying glass today I found a 1mm scratch on the inside of the boot behind the puncture repair kit, Im gonna have to write another letter to Honda CS now!! erm that was a joke folks
