Wind deflectors

On my old ' 95 Civic I had wind deflectors from Clim Air http://www.climair.de/englisch/englisch_index.html and found them very usefull and so did my two Staffordshire Bull Terriers when they were left in the car.
Would it be considered as an act of vandalism to put them (the wind deflectors ) on my new Civic spaceship, black 1.8 sport? Ruin the sleek look? Maybe even have the consequense that I will be banned from this wonderfull forum

Anybody tried it?......and kind enough to show me a picture?

Where's the block button? Anyone know?

It wouldn't look the best, but if it keeps the hounds happy then go for it!

No, but I have seen a foto somewhere on the forum with wind deflectors, so they do exist.

They actually don't look that bad on the Civ'.

I had a pair on a car some time ago and after a while the window mechanisms started to go wrong. The dealer put it down to the wind deflectors holding on to the window tops and straining the little gearbox. It ended up with them sharing the cost of replacement parts with me 50:50 and the dealer supplying the labour free.

It makes me think twice about adding things like this to any car I own!

They might keep the drips out of the cabin on rainy days with the window open..

Mine worked really well at keeping the wind noise down whilst still having good fresh air. That car didn't have Aircon' and so needed airflow on a hot day. It did help to keep out normal rain, although it didn't stop spray from other cars from comming in.

I think they are a great idea for those guys who like their 'fresh air' motoring, but doesn't the safety action of the 'not getting your fingers trapped bit' get compromised?

Charles H.

I see no reason it should, AFAIK this is controled by back pressure against the motor, the deflectors should have no affect on that at all

We got these through ebay, after offering Ģ12 (instead of Ģ14.95 Buy It Now). Fit very easily, and snug, and do the job. They also blend in well with the lovely NHB:

WIND DEFLECTOR NEW HONDA CIVIC 5dr yr since 06 on eBay, Honda, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (item 190137398124 end time 01-Sep-07 07:12:57 BST)
