i would like to take some of the parts from the type r to put on my diesel type s gt. but i will still badge mine as an S. very similar to what robbo 51 has done. use the front grill and red "H" but put type S at the front. i plan to remap mine sometime as well so its not like it will be slow.
and the reason for the s and not the R. money wasn't a problem i could have had the type r, but i do over 500 miles a week in my car and the R would drink to much. also this is my first diesel, and i must say i am impressed with the tourque and this is pre re-map. i have already got type s side decals the only R stuff i have in the car is the floor mats and tax disc holder (but you can't really see those badges) and they were ebay copies. the real stuff is twice as expensive and they don't do it with the S badge on. i have no intentions of building a fake diesel R, i plan to build a real Diesel Type S GT with all the body extras that it should ahve come with. |

Here in Greece I expected it to cost more than in the UK. I remeber seeing the Type-R badge and stickers (side) sold as a kit for 130 pounds (OUCH) Then I asked my dealer..... r u sitting down???? Type-R front badge 28 euros and side stickers 38 euros a total of 66 euros. Not bad eh!

Angie, remember we were trying to find some Type-R clothing? Well listen to what I came up with. I was shopping one day at a supermarket and what did I see? A Nautica summer jacket in red for 24 euros so I bought it, with the intention to order Type-R Embroidered patches at a smaller size 3 x 1 inch patches and then sew them on to the jacket. Much much cheaper than 59.99 pounds. when I finish my project I will send you some photos. Sorry for posting this here but I wanted others to read as well.
