Door EDGE protectors..
Can these be fitted to the civic? I dont mean the strips along the side (£280!) just the small rubbery things you used to get to stop the edge of your door hitting garage wall etc.
Had a search, but couldnt find anything specific.. |

I've got door edge protectors on mine. Got it from Halfords (in my local Halfords it was next to the section with all the interior map lights that you can plug into the cigarette lighter.
Its one long roll that you cut to length. You also get some double sided sticky pads to put on the door edge to ensure they don't fall off. Theres enough to do front and rear doors on my Civic, my girlfriends Yaris and theres still a load of it left. |

Have done the same (as I have done with 2 previous cars) - BUT - be warned - they do accumulate some tiny gritt that can cause some serious scratching if the plastic protectors are moved (or slid up or down).

Just been into Halfords to see if they have the Alpine sub and checked if they still had the door guards whilst I was at it. They do - and on the front of the box it has DOOR MOULD. Almost looks like a Japanese or Chinese product based on the packaging design. £6.99, sorry forgot to look at how long the roll was. If yours hasn't got it, I'm quite happy to either send you mine, or buy one for from my Halfords and send it.

Door edge protectors
This is what I fitted. It is transparent, the lenght is 65 cm (ca 26 inches). There is a bit of glue inside that protector so it will not fall off. I fitted them 5 months ago and they are still there. It loooks quite well.

I stuck those to my garage wall - works a treat. Tried carpet once and got a colony of creepie crawlies behind it so something like foam or rubber you can stick with no gaps is preferable. |
