Have I been misled??
I've got a small round 'Supagard' sticker behind the windscreen, a warranty leaflet with receipt, and a little box of stuff to 'maintain' it. The kit is a rag, 250ml sealant, shampoo sachets, and bird poo remover!

I've just got some JEFF's stuff from polishedbliss.co.uk to do a proper job.
I tried it out on my racing bike, and boy is it shiny now! We'll have to see how it lasts of course, but I can't see anything in the guarantee to suggest that it is affected by using other porducts...

Cheers
The superguard won't stop the paint from fading, supposed to make it a bit shiny though..

I don't know of any really good way to avoid red paint fading eventually, except a respray in about 6 years..

In my earlier years I had a 'Super Red' Toyota for 8 years from new, and the paintwork, on departure, was just as great as on arrival.

So it can be done.

No Superguard or anything else but TLC!

Pic stolen from Detailing World... (linky)

Click the image to open in full size.

It's simply oxidised paint. Remove it and it's just like new again.

My Toyota was in super nick without any aids or treatments.

.....and the finish from new was superb, no orange peel anywhere.

'twas Japanese tho'!

I wouldn't have paid for mine, got it done for free to be honest I only wanted the seats treated as I was worried about the material but have since read it shouldnt be applied to the material in the civic

Not sure if it does anything to be honest, mine has been re-applied by Honda about three times now after repairs.

Use a polish and a sealant

Use a decent polish - like Comma Top Gloss and then apply a decent paint sealant on the top either Turtle Wax Gloss Guard or Platinum Extra Gloss; both of these are incredibly easy to apply and buff and leave a durable finish.

Comma Top Gloss
Turtle Wax Gloss Guard
Turtle Wax Platinum Extra Gloss
