Annoying dirt round gear stick.

Anyone worked out a cunning way to get rid of dirt and dust that accumulates at the bottom of the gear stick? In around the bally bit?

I use the soft brush vacum attachment when cleaning the car - works very well with no scratching.

Cleaning the inside of the car!

I work for a Photo copier company and the best thing i ve found is a tin of air... yeah air in a tin.(Air Duster) you can get it from Maplin and places like that too. It clears away any crap and small bits of dirt in the car, i have used on door handles too..

Same here it also removes any dirt that has got in to the lines in the gear knob.

I do the whole interior with the vacuum cleaner brush.

I need to design a small one that gets to the top front of the dash

I removed the gear stick trim and then it was easy.

Seriously, it just pops out!

OK, might not get where you mean, but it helps. A hoover with brush attachment after that!

Try using an air duster - compressed air in a can. Not a cheap solution, but great for awkward corners.

Who are these people allowing dirt in their Civic!

Last days of 3 for 2 on car cleaning stuff at Halfords, so I've invested a little more in Meguiars stuff, including their dashboard cleaner.
