Dash Replaced For Type R

hi just had the type r dash fitted to my es, due to scratches , and paid for by honda . Complained originally about the poor finish on the dashboard, so honda said they would replace this item under warranty . When the new one was fitted it was more scratched than the original. Not happy with this i phoned HUK and they agreed to fit a type r one as this would put an end to the scratching issue. And i mist say im very impressed with it , i think it looks better than the original but thats my opinion, must say it for my honda dealer ryland cardiff they have been brilliant and would reccomend them to anyone looking for a new space ship.

doesn't it remove the spaceship-like quality of the interior a bit though?

I have also have the Tyre R dash, and yes it doesn't look as good as a clean and non scratched dash, but it looks a damn sight better than a scratched dash.
The inside still looks fab though

well i think it looks better, it even matches the little corner pieces higher up in the dash either side of the speedo, and dosent look dirty all the time

I agree, but my dealer has flatly refused to fit one. They told me Honda would not allow it as it is not an S Type part and would not even confirm it would fit!! Who / where is your dealer?

I agree I love my Type R dash and your right it matches the little corner pieces.

And I find when the sun shines on it it has quite a shiney look but scratch free

if they wont give you a type r dash then have the original one then when its scratched go back for another one, keep doing this until the warrenty is up then buy a type r one. these will be in the breakers by then so will be cheap.

As I have said many times before.

When you have not got an itch, do not scratch it.

Millie's dash is still shiney in all the right places.
