My Bonnet has a rash

Evening Folks

Just home from my local dealership where i bought my NHB super car. I believe my car has a rash on the bonnet, it looks mottled.

The paintwork is very patchy. It has a few stone chips like every other Civic.

They are going to take it in hopefully this week to have a better look but my question is if they do find something more sinister will a re-spray be an option(dealer paying) or will they try another process first?

If they re-spray will i need to get the other panels done to match the bonnet or is modern day re-spraying very good at matching?

Ta in advance

Robbie

re-spray

I was told that they have to spray it out at the other panels to make it invinsible. The color is never exactly the same they say.

I had to have a new drivers door after someone backed into it. You cannot see any variation in colour. I suppose NHB is one of the better colours to match

update

Afternoon folks

Just a quick update to say dealship is taking the car in to be machine polished to see if that gets rid of the problems with the paint work. I think it will just cover the issue but i guess you have to let them try

It goes in on Monday for 2 days so will keep you all posted. I think it'll be a re-spray but that costs the dealership so i guess that'll be off the cards.

Hey £18000 for a car that has one of the worst paint jobs in the world and I'm still smiling

I reversed my NHB into the side of the house. Ouch! Offside rear scratched repaired by dealer, paint job perfect...but...came back with what appeared to be overspray on the bonnet possibly from another vehicle being sprayed nearby. Unfortunately didn't notice it til I came to wash car a couple of weeks later. Scratched bonnet badly despite being careful with shampoo and polish. My Milano Red appears to have a tougher paint job.
