As I presume it's akin to the various 'guard treatments, then not really.
No better than a good cleaning/wax/sealant regime done regularly.
Anything that claims to let you be a lazy bugger and just throw water over the car to rinse off the dirt that miraculously can't cling to the paintwork pre-treatment is.....well, no to beat about the bush.....taking the piss, and giving you a stiff one where the sun don't shine with the typical dealer asking price.
Save your rectum and urine for better things, and invest in some decent detailing bobs and bobettes - it'll serve you better in the long term.

Its NEVER going to stop stone chips or make cleaning any easier or less frequent.

Indeed

They are intended to help protect the paintwork from environment corrosion etc. It still needs a regular washing!

I have however been treating my car with:
autoglym shampoo conditioner ()
autoglym super polish resion
autoglym high gloss.

The high gloss makes a fantastic difference to repelling water and it looks brilliantly shiny and no problems with smears either!

I have used Autoglym for over 10 years and its kept all my cars like new, it does work. I'll also use it on my CTR now.
