Cleaning the windshield, inside

Just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to clean the inside of the windshield properly. I've tried several products and several types of cloth. It seems to look ok in the shade, but when the sun shines on it, there is this layer of something that looks like dew, but greasy, and I can't seem to get it off.

I just use a microfibre cloth without any spray or cleaner. You might have to clean it well a number of times to get rid of the film you have, but once clean you just have to do it weekly to maintain it. I find that most interior windscreen cleaners smear, which is really annoying and distracting.

White vinegar mixed with water in a spray bottle. It's excellent at getting rid of grease marks. Also its smells a little bit at first, but it actually deodorises the interior and the smell disappears

Thought I'd give it a try on your recommendation.

Just ordered some from the Meguiars on-line shop.

My NXT Glass Cleaner arrived today. Great stuff. I did the outside of the screen. It's come up a treat; not a smudge to be seen. I'm well pleased.

Thank's for the recommendation.

Superb - I also ordered some on the recommendation here, hoping it should arrive today, so will give it a good clean over the weekend!

Thanks guys!

Autoglym is the best stuff, been using it for years. Rub it on, let it dry and then buff it off. No smear at all!
Great product!

I got some AutoGylm glass polish for christmas, brings the window up to a nice shine, it can show up some scratches that would otherwise be obskerwed by grime and dirt.

It says that it has an anti-hazing formula and is streak free, so I'm definitely using it on the inside.

When my NXT Glass cleaner, Ultimate Quik Detailer and Water Magnet was received the Glass Cleaner had leaked about 10% of it's contents. I mentioned this in an e-mail to the suppliers and I have just received a reply from Sarah stating that they are despatching another bottle of NXT Glass Cleaner and a new Water Magnet.

Now I didn't expect that as I wasn't complaining over just 10% of cleaner; I mentioned it as the top must have been a bit loose (the nozzle was set to 'OFF' as I advised them), and I just thought it was worth them checking before any more were sent out.

A big PAT ON THE BACK then for Sarah and the guy's at The Ultimate Finish. You can reach them on this link:

Just done the inside. Brilliant stuff. Must be the quickest, easiest and best result I've ever had.

I did the bottom of the front screen by draping a microfibre cloth over the back of my flat hand, gave the cloth a couple of good sprays then wiped the lower screen, keeping all of my fingers pointed forward so that I made a large 'spatula' shape. It seemed a lot easier than trying to do it with the normal method which scrapes the skin off your knuckles. This way the back of my fingers and hand were pushing the cloth against the lower screen. The top and middle is no problem using the conventional way.
