How many times lucky?

Well today my car is going back to the dealers to have one side re-sprayed again!!!!

How many times is that? I have lost count now how many times its been to the bodyshop in total but I do know that this will be the second time this side of the car has had a complete re-spray making the whole car apart from the roof new paint (which apears to be more resilient than the original) just need to try to get rid of the three long white shadows that the previous bodyshop made!

Im a bit nervous as it is a different bodyshop this time so im hoping the new paint matches the other side of my car

How are all these extra layers of paint affecting performance and economy?

Good luck! Hope it is OK. I have chipsaway man coming next week to sort out some vandal scratches on my rocketship so hope it looks OK afterwards...!

It sounds like finding a good bodyshop is a lottery job?

It would seem so Kremmen, but I did use an approved Honda bodyshop who I might add are paying the new bodyshop to fix their mistakes

I wonder how they select their 'approved' status ?

Probably the cheapest quote by the sound of it.

Had a call today to say the car is back from the bodyshop and apparently it looks great While it was there they resprayed the inner door seals to get rid of those clouds and a nice dent man fixed the dent and huge chip that was on one of the rear doors and had some new trims fitted to finish off the look

The car is now having some other bits fitted done in the workshop and then hopefully it will be back soon.

I owe my new friend at the dealers a drink I do believe

Hi Topcat

If it was the paint shop in Ruislip then I can recommend them. They did a great job on my car. I'm glad your car is finally the way you want it.

Maybe we could wire up the body to, erm...shock and stun [??] vandals with keys??? This may deter them from our nice clean paintwork.

Your car is starting to sound a bit like Trigger's broom
