Wonder what has happened to Sprinter, maybe he has done a runner and doesn't want to do his How To on paintwork repairs.
Tis a pity, as I for one, am always willing to learn from others.

AutoGlym did a 2 page 'how to' in their guide (you got it with a special pack thing (like the halfords ones), maybe I can get away with scanning those two pages, I believe I'm allowed to under copyright laws).

Brilliant stuff, for polishing out light scratches on all glass, including the glass roof, but never gone this far with it before.
The stuff you have used ,where did you get it from and how is it used ?,I have tried several glass places asking for diamond paste and they have never heard of its its use for polishing car screens.I have got some bad ones thro' grit being amongst the ice I was trying to remove - what a mess when it became apparent.(the guys would have sold me jewellers rouge and also mentioned to be aware of not generating too much heat- a bit scary).

Due to my job, I always obtain mine as freebies, from the double glazing/ window companies, I specify for my buildings. You must go to a company which actually manufactures the complete windows, not a small firm, which just buys them in and fixes them.
It is a form of jewellers rouge, i.e. pure diamond dust, in a pink binding powder, which you mix with water to form a wet paste, but it is specifically for glass.
Get the stuff first (you will only need a small medicine bottle full) and I will go through the method with you.

P.S. Jewellers rouge will work, but it will take a bit more elbow grease.

ok prob will regret this as i am giving away the secret of my business but you all seem like nice enough people that are not going to run away a start up on your own but if you want to remove scratches from glass go on the net and buy CERIUM OXIDE it is a white powder just mix some of it with water untill you get the consistency of double cream and get to work with the elbow grease or you could send me a PM and i can give you a price (greatly discounted for you lovely civic owner) and i can take the scratch or chip out the glass for you with my 1100rpm angle grinder (honest it does work and you still have a window afterwords that is in one peice and 100% road legal) not going to go into the science of how it works.
