Yep, every single last bit of it.

I'm yet to drive around on a sunny day, but tbh it looks ace! I'm very happy!

I haven't bothered applying any film yet. But I've driven around quite a bit and haven't had any glare issues (since the film has been polished off), but obv we havent had the sunny'est of days.

I have had any regret since doing it. You guys want a photo?

I have found that buying a brand new microfiber cloth and not applying any chemicals or water the screen comes up a treat!! Give it a go!!

Many Thanks Gordz for posting this brill way of cleaning the scratches out. Mines as good as new and, yes it's a bit shiny, but rather that than how it was previously.. Got mine from Pets at Home in the aquarium section for £1.70 cracking investment.

For the coating which is removed from polishing, maybe i'm being abit naive but couldn't we just use something like this cut to size?

I invested in some of the fish tank cleaner for the scratches on my screen and found in direct light it did get rid of the larger scratches, only to replace it with a sort of micro marring. Also found very difficult polishing right into the corners so left a sort of mini boarder of the blue antiglare.

Unhappy with these results I removed the rev counter from the dash (very easy job took 10 minutes) and took my g220 + merzerna polish to it. The results were superb. Edge to edge polishing achieved and a total removal of ALL scratches. It's the only way to remove all the imperfections as the fish tank cleaner impo removed one problem and replaced with another.

Anyone in the Kent area that wants a bit of help doing this pm me.

Never realised just how badly scratched my rev counter cover was until I was sat in the passenger seat(I've rarely visited that side of the car)a couple of days ago-Blimey the whole cover was a mass of scratches making the display invisible.

Set to work today with Einszett Glass Polish, a microfibre cloth & a large tub of elbow grease-15 mins later it had come up a treat, just a small amount of the blue glaze lurking in the corners which I'll tackle another day.
Just need to wait for the lovely Lancashire sun to make an appearance so I can see the difference without the anti glare glaze.

Should really have taken a before photo, but here's what it looks like now.

Silvo liquid (made by the same people as Brasso) and a microfibre cloth did the job for me, £2.80 from sainsburys!

If you pull the instrument cluster surround out slightly you can ensure all the antiglare has been removed from the edges and a crystal clear finish.

At the same time I stuck some foam tape pads along the top of the cluster before fitting the surround back in to place, this stopped the reallllllly annoying squeak that so many FN2's suffer from!

In effect just giving it a dust?

I do the same now. Everytime I've used anything else on it, even water, it looks even worse.

It would be nice If one of you (who already removed the rev counter, speedometer,...) could do a ''how to''

Here's my pics when I removed the glare:

You won't need any screw drivers to lever or any brute force to remove any of the components, things seem to nicely come away when you give them a bit of a pull.

Make life a bit easier and pull your steering wheel out as far as pos and drop it down, gives a bit more room.

1 -

Pull the lower cover from the bottom, once this clip releases you can pull nearer the middle for the next two clips, do this either side starting from the bottom.

Click the image to open in full size.

2 -

These are the top clips you want to release with a bit of a pull pop out quite easily.

Click the image to open in full size.

3 -

This is one of the two screws holding the dash to the speedo, unscrew this one and the one basically mirrored on the right hand side.

Click the image to open in full size.

4 -

Now time to pull the dash out slightly, again I found it easiest to pull from the bottom right to the middle and then from the bottom left to the middle, just easing it away with my hands.

Click the image to open in full size.

When you get to the top middle you will hear a metallic ping as there is a metal clip holding the top, make sure this lines up correctly when you reassemble!

5 -

This should give you an inch behind the dash to clean away that anti glare, you might be able to see (albeit rubbish photos) the tape I've lined behind the dash and speedo screen, this is to stop that irritating squeak you get from this area ....... Two birds with one stone.

As I previously mentioned I used Silvo like Brasso and it comes up absolutely crystal clear.

I haven't noticed any problems at all with glare just a nice clear screen, someone had made a right mess of my anti glare before I owned it.
