Bit of a cleaning n00b questions here for you experts.
Having cleaned and polished the car I have now waxed it. Can I add a second layer of wax for extra protection? I'm using Megs Carnauba Wax. (Yes, I know BHAB is better, but this is what is available locally). |

Of course you can add as many layers you want
You have extra protection and also you cover some spots you might didnt apply it first time. IMO 1 layer is good 2 layers are great 3 layers are perfect 4 layers you are obssesed and probably you re spending all your wage to shinearama ..... 50 layers you are Heavenly !!!!!!! |

Ok, I'll keep going then.
Weather is rubbish anyway. Another n00b question, the bottle says to apply the wax and wait for it to dry. How long does it take for it do be dry enough? |

I polished and waxed the car a couple of months back. I was wondering if the wax coat needs to be stripped before I can polish it again. Can anyone answer that one please?

2 - 3 layers is perfect, you don't need more. Apply your 2nd layer next day, just don't forget to re-wash car if it's covered in more than a very fine and ligh layer of dust. If it is very light, you can get away with going back over it with a good QD.

There is curring time for waxes before apply the other coat. There is no standard time for it, it depends the wax, temperature, humidity etc.

If you polish again it will strip off the wax anyway, but no harm in starting over again and getting your car squeaky clean, ie detar ironx clay before you start with your polishing

Thanks mate. I clayed it two months ago as well so I don't think I'll be doing it again so soon. I just wanted to know if I could put polish over wax. Oh...just to let you know, Avondale Honda in Coventry replaced that broken wheel stud for free which was amazing. I said I'd let you know.

Yeah they even supplied and replaced one of my break calipers for free because it was sticking. Can you believe that? Amazing service. How's life without the R? You got me thinking about changing but then I went to Cuba for a while and when I got back I fell in love with it all over again.

Ok, got it.
I will be doing it a day later, but as the car is locked up in the garage I won't need to do any extra cleaning. By the way, can we please refrain from talking about French cars in my cleaning thread!
