That's better, great idea. Assume this is ok re current ban? ie still got a hosepipe albeit it small. No such probs here so don't know the ins & outs of it.

Constant connection to mains water supply is the issue with the hose pipe ban I believe... May be wrong...there's a small hose connecting my shower head to the mains supply after all

Surely Rob your buckets are already full as you caught rainwater during the recent bad rain

Lol good idea, for the record I actually do keep all my buckets outside the back door and they were all full of rain water so I thought it a good opportunity to test the new pressure washer

Wait, so if I can't use my pressure washer from a bucket filled from the mains supply... why am I allowed to fill said bucket and use it to just wash with? Surely that's exactly the same problem?

I couldn't agree more, the law says you can't use one bucket to pressure wash a whole car, but its ok to throw 10 buckets at it to wash rinse 12 liter buckets to.

Makes sense to me.....

"Q. I need to clean my car, is there a way I can get around the ban?

A. Kärcher wouldn’t advocate looking to get around the ban and would encourage you to only look for options that comply with the restrictions. You are allowed to wash your car using a bucket only or with a pressure washer that draws water from an alternative source like a water butt or pond."

If you put the suction hose of your pressure washer in said bucket you are breaking the law, what a joke....
