Auto finesse Mint Rims

Any opinions on Mint Rims? Autobahn isnt blowing me away when i clean the wheels weekly they arent getting completely back to clean again without using a wheel cleaner. I dont mind sealing the wheels again but want to feel like the product is protecting the wheels from dust and grime. The civics just produce far too much dust.

Get Magic Matt to ceramic seal them. Or put some Gtechniq C5 on them.

Sorry, not used mint rims.

I would imagine its similar to all the other dedicated wheel sealants out there so you may not get the best results due to the amount of brake dust on civics like you say. Your best option is what shaun has suggested, something that is more pemanent.

i know robbo and shaun paid about £18 for a sample of ceramashield which was enough to do 4 wheels but they applied themselves. PM magic (matt) for a price.

It was one I was trialling at the time, and no longer available (i.e I can't be arsed importing it anymore ). I Ceramishield them now, supplied and applied @ £40.

I have PM'd the VTec Junkie

Mint Rims is essentially just another wheel wax, along the same ilke as Autobahn. These look great, and are certainly better at protecting the wheels than PB Wheel Sealant for example, but they aren't in the same league as super sealants.

How do you rate cquartz? I've got it on mine and it seems to be doing a job but was possibly expecting more. Magic, I have the same wheels as you showed on your ceramic you tube video - they're a rough finish inside and I'm not finding all of the dirt just sprays off, I always need to use a microfiber on them to clean up.

That said, not needed anything more than a cloth and some water to get them clean now.

I've got Mint Rims on mine. Looked superb when first applied. Wheels weren't washed then for about a month with about 2000 miles of grime and they cleaned up well with a wash mitt and shampoo.

Take a look at the thread I started here last weekend and you'll see a pic of them 1 month on cleaned with just a shampoo and a quick blast of AG's Wheel Sealant. No befores I'm afraid but they were all filthy. Especially the fronts.

You can't go too far wrong with AF products IMO.
