Yes very, in one of the pics you will see the weave showing thru the paint.

My insurance, items worked upon, covers me for cars of this value (£500,000), but you always have to be careful with them, chemicals etc.

'tis a great car indeed - have worked on two of these myself. I can't believe you protected it with OAC stuff though! C'mon man, cars like that deserve special products, surely?

They aren't. They're 17's with 335/35's on.

Having worked on two, added them to this thread then.

This is my 3rd F40 and just waiting confirmation for a 4th.

And they are special products, not just bulk re-branded products of which their are alot on the market.

It isn't a competition - I've done mine on recommendation rather than being subbed out via a 3rd party who got the work in. I also find that owners of these vehicles are discerning individuals who do not like to draw attention to themselves or their cars, and prefer to keep my images for their private collection - F40's are near enough a collectors item / museum piece only these days.

I was actually josting about the special products, being that OAC (whose pie you have a finger in?) are a near enough unknown company compared to say, Swissvax, which is from personal experience the sort of protective coating my clients with these sorts of cars expect. I'm sure the OAC stuff is very competent, applying it to cars such as the F40 is only going to enhance it's public perception so I can't really blame you for using it!

I notice on DW you've ducked a couple of questions about the paint thickness readings btw - do you have a composite guage?

Nice detailing work.

But hand on heart, I can catergorically state, i've never been a fan of Ferraris - for a number of reasons.

I'd rather take the money, anyday.
